Point & Clique — Monster

Cinematic Music Video Production & AI-Powered Visual Effects

Media Movement Network produced Monster, a cinematic music video for Rochester hip-hop duo Point & Clique, directed by Shabaka Mu Ausar.

Filmed along Rochester’s Monroe Avenue using the Z CAM E2-S6 cinema camera, the production blends psychological horror, urban realism, and cinematic storytelling.

MMN integrated Runway AI visual effects to transform the artists into supernatural creatures, including a rhinoceros-inspired beast and a reptilian siren. These transformations symbolize personal struggles, temptation, and the darker sides of human nature.

From creative concept and direction to cinematography, AI-assisted effects, editing, and post-production, Monster demonstrates MMN’s ability to combine traditional filmmaking with emerging creative technologies.

The finished project demonstrates MMN’s ability to execute ambitious independent music productions that combine established filmmaking techniques with emerging creative technologies.
